Question: What is the year 2017 for Hyundai Motor India?
Answer: We have set the target of 6.72 lakh units in 2017, in which the domestic will be 5.25 lakh units and the rest will be exported. Our growth is also going to be positive compared to last year. Apart from this, we will retail two lakh cars for the first time in the last 4 months (September to December). That is, on an average, 50 thousand cars will reach customers every month. This is our new target which we will get by the end of December. Not only that, from 1998 to November 2017, we have achieved the figure for domestic sales of 5 million units. This figure has not been achieved so fast by any other manufacturer.
Question: What is Hyundai Motor planning for auto expo 2018?
Answer: We will show new things at the auto expo next year. This time there will be a lot of people who are scaring people. This will include new technology for new products. We will also introduce our new Small Hatchback Car. We have said earlier that every year 2016 to 2020, we will continue to offer a new car. It includes a new product as well as a facelift. In this case, we will offer 8 new products, which will have an investment of about Rs. 5000 crores.
Question: What is the company's strategy in the hatchback segment?
Answer: We will also present our new small hatchback car. Our new small hatchback car is going to be between Eon and Grand I10 which will be a 5-seater car. This car will be launched before the second half of next year.
Question: The Indian government is planning to implement the All-Electric Vehicle by 2030. What is the purpose of Hyundai Motor India on electric vehicles?
Answer: We will follow all the guidelines given by the government. Whenever the government says we are ready for that. We have the Ionic brand for electric mobility. Under the Ionic brand, we have all kinds of vehicles from hybrids to electric and fuel cells. Hyundai has all types of technology, manpower. Now it is to see how to bring it to India, which is being worked on.
Question: Can the vehicle be introduced to Auto Expo 2018 in Hyundai?
Answer: Auto Expo 2018 has been quite enthusiastic. It will be from new technology to concept models who will be shown.
Question: A segment is growing rapidly in the automobile industry and it is compact SUV. But Hyundai does not have any car in this segment. Could any car come from Hyundai for this segment in 2018?
Answer: We are also working for this segment. Our target is that we bring it to India as soon as possible. There is no target to present it in 2018 but in the coming years it may be presented. Yes, it is that we are working on this product. We also want to bring world class product for the competition.
