New Delhi: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) and the stock exchange have started scrapping of the trade details of their stocks while screwing up on 24 companies. Explain that these 24 companies are those who had leaked to social media even before the financial details reached the stock exchange.
Now the investigation of stock trading of these companies has begun. According to the information received, the market regulator has also said to know the trading data of the stock exchange from those who had traded in these shares during the time when the data was leaked. According to SEBI regulations, all information about the listed companies should be made public through the stock exchanges. The information related to the trading of companies influences their stock prices.
In the past, there were some cases of insider trading used to influence stock prices. As a result, SEBI has now adopted a tough stance on insider trading. The information received from a SEBI official said that these companies are also involved in bluechip companies. SEBI is now exploring the trade data of all these companies for the last 12 months. In this investigation, it is being tried to ascertain that the rules have not been violated through insider trading. The help of data warehouse is also being taken in this case.
According to the SEBI official, the stock exchanges will report the matter to SEBI after the investigation. It is to be noted that in the last few months, property wings of 24 companies have been leaked in some big companies of the country through Private Wattsapp Groups. Among them are Dr. Reddy's, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, Acise Bank and Mahindra Holidays. The special thing is that in many companies' cases, their information was shared even before the results of the quarter ended in September 2017 on these Wattsapp Groups.
